Brahami booti also called centella is a small sized herb that is found in moist areas of Asia and have plenty of health benefits. It belongs to family “Apiaceae/Umbelliferae”. It is beneficial for healthy skin and it helps to heal wounds so quickly. Other than that it boost cognition, reduce toxicity, and control respiratory issues. It enhances memory. Furthermore, they administer tablets or electuaries (Qurs), containing pennywort along with other suitable ingredients, for conditions such as spermatorrhoea, seminal weakness resulting from nervous debility, as well as for insanity and hypochondriasis. Additionally, they recommend taking the fresh juice of pennywort leaves with milk and liquorice for treating various ailments including skin disorders, blood disorders, nervous debility, gonorrhoea, jaundice, and chronic fevers.

Pills made with basil and black pepper are  effective against periodic fevers. Pennywort serves as both an internal and external remedy for ulcerations, calculous affections, scrofula, syphilis with gummatous infiltration, eczema, leprosy, epilepsy, glandular enlargement, abscesses, chronic rheumatism, and elephantiasis. In leprosy patients, pennywort promotes capillary circulation, improves appetite, and gradually restores the skin’s softness and natural color and function. . Dried pennywort leaves are applied topically to alleviate skin eruptions and mental weakness.

Recommended dosage:

3 to 5 g. approx. For bowel complaints, pennywort leaves (3-4 Nos.) are particularly beneficial, especially in children.
