Description
Sadaf Marvarid at sknatural are shells of marvarid. These are common oyester sheels, the bivalve molusc. The pearls form in these shells. These are shiny white in color while their taste is bland. These are carbonate and oxide of lime contains calcium carbonate, phosphate, sulphate of calcium and magnesium, oxide of
iron, alumina and silica etc.
The Bivalve mollusc, within which pearls are found, possesses a semi-circular shell housing shellfish that produces natural pearls of various textures and colors. In traditional medicine, small-sized pearls and shells find application. Practioners calcine or turn pearls and these shells into ash for medicinal use.

For turning into powder (ash), you should do triturition within few drops of lemon water.
The ash of marvarid and sadaf marvarid serves as an antacid, addressing various conditions such as dyspepsia, abdominal tumors, liver and spleen enlargements, loss of appetite, cough, phthisis, and asthma. Administered twice daily in recommended doses with honey, it proves beneficial. Moreover, physicians use it to treat low fever and burning sensation in the eyes. When applied as a collyrium, it reduces the yellowish tinge of the eyes. Internally, it effectively combats pale urine due to low fever and alleviates burning sensation during micturition. Additionally, it acts as a cerebral tonic in nervous complaints like chronic headache, epilepsy, and convulsive attacks.
Moreover, in conditions like piles, leucorrhoea, spermatorrhea, and impotence, they combine ash of pearls and shells, with other suitable ingredients, and administer it. It also finds application in treating diabetes, seminal weakness, biliousness, and in strengthening cardiac muscles. Furthermore, it functions as an effective astringent and hemostatic agent, relieving excessive bleeding in menstruation and stopping bloody diarrhea.
