Description
Mazo Sabz at sk natural is Quercus infectoria Olivier. Generally, people use galls produced on the branches of the tree. These galls are obtained as a result of puncture and deposit of the eggs of insect Cynips Gallae tinctoria on leaves, buds and branches or stems of various species of Oak and Sumach. It belongs to family “Fagaceae”. It is Cold in first and dry in second order/cold in second and dry in third order.

Properties:
Powerfully astringent and styptic, desiccative, antiseptic, if applied under arms, on palm of hands and inside groins, it lessens formation of sweat and gets rid of malodour due to perspiration, highly effective against abnormal secretions and haemorrhages.
Medicinal uses:
Administering powder made from galls of Quercus infectoria Oliv. is recommended for cases involving abraded or excoriated layers of intestines, chronic diarrhea, and abnormal secretions. Additionally, applying drops of Portulaca oleracea Linn. extract to the ear, producing pus, has proven beneficial.
To stop bleeding from the gums and strengthen them, apply it as an astringent and anti-hemorrhagic agent in gargles. Furthermore, include it in tooth powders, while using the decoction as an astringent wash in gargles, treating conditions like elongation of the uvula, pharyngitis, and stomatitis.
The powder also effectively treats conditions such as diarrhea, gleet, gonorrhea, leucorrhea, and other vaginal discharges. Moreover, the powder snuff proves useful against epistaxis, profuse menstruation, and open wounds.
Furthermore, it produces positive results in chronic gastric catarrh, enuresis nocturnal, and albuminuria. Its effects are also beneficial in treating renal hemorrhage and obstinate spleen swelling. It proves effective in conditions such as intertrigo, impetigo, eczema, and prolapse of the uterus.
When applied in clarified butter or Vaseline, it relieves hemorrhoids unattended by heat or inflammation, anal fissures, and ulcerated hemorrhoids, with application recommended at least twice daily.
