Description

Warq Nuqra or silver foil at sknatural is Argentum. It is cold and dry in first order. Silver, a heavy metal, widely distributes throughout the mineral kingdom, often exists in a metallic state. It commonly alloys with other metals such as gold, arsenic, copper, and mercury, or combines with elements like sulphur, nitrates, and iodine. Additionally, a process involving a mixture of mercury, sulphur, and other substances can artificially produce silver.

Vark (also known as varak, waraq, or warq) is a delicate filigree foil sheet made of pure metal, usually silver but sometimes gold, utilized for adorning South Asian sweets and food. Both silver and gold vark are edible, albeit lacking in flavor. To produce vark, silver is meticulously pounded into sheets less than one micrometer (μm) thick, typically ranging from 0.2 to 0.8 μm.

These ultra-thin silver sheets are usually interleaved between layers of paper for added support, which is removed before use. However, vark is fragile and prone to breaking into smaller pieces upon direct contact with the skin. Sheets as thin as 0.2 μm have a tendency to adhere to the skin upon direct handling.

Properties:

Silver and silver preparations are tonic, stimulant, astringent, sedative, antispasmodic, viscous aphrodisiac, bactericidal and bacteriostatic.

Recommended dosage:

Silver leaf: 60-120 mg. approximately. Prolonged use of any silver preparation may result in argyria.

Medicinal uses:

Grind well and finely, then administer thin warq nuqra and powder of Argentum in combination with stimulant tonic confections and various aphrodisiac medicines. Prescribe it for excessive body heat, hectic fever, phthisis, chest affections, impotence, and premature ejaculation (seminal weakness).

Furthermore, Utilize it for painful irritable conditions of the stomach and intestines, heartburn, chronic diarrhea, leucorrhea, and menorrhagia. In advanced stages of dysentery, diarrhea, dyspepsia accompanied by gastralgia and pyrosis, cholera, epilepsy, whooping cough, spasmodic asthma, hysteria, and mercurial palsy, administer silver nitrate.

Use it locally as an injection for gonorrhea, gleet, leucorrhea, catarrhal inflammation of the bladder, croup, diphtheria, ulceration of the mouth, and various obstinate skin diseases.
