Medicinal uses:

Sapistan plays a valuable role as an aperient for the thoracic region, providing relief and promoting bowel movements. It actively soothes irritation as an emollient for the pharynx and larynx and facilitates the expulsion of phlegm and related catarrhs as an expectorant. Moreover, it alleviates the heat associated with yellow bile and acts as a corrective additive to purgatives, diminishing their intensity. In conditions such as bilious affections, dry cough, warm-origin flu, and throat roughness, individuals can consume its mucilage directly or as an infusion.

This action helps quench thirst, soothe irritation in urinary passages, purify the blood by removing excess phlegmatic matter, ease irritation in the alimentary canal, and reduce fever during hot seasons. Healthcare providers commonly prescribe Sapistan for bronchitis, phthisis, and dry cough, recommending it for individuals experiencing general debility and during convalescence.
