Lota saji or natural Sodium Carbonate is the salt of sodium. Sodium is also known as Natrum, which is derived from the Arabic word Natrun. In reality, it is Sodium Carbonate. Lota saji is somewhat clear, especially when they prepare it from herbs. Specifically, they make it from Salsola soda, which is salty and sharp. It is better when it is clear and jet black. Sometimes, it also has a pinkish color. They also call it lotan saji. Its taste is salty and extremely sharp.
