Description
Qalmi Shora or saltpeter at sknatural is potassium nitrate. It is hot in second order and dry in third order. Qalmi shora is a compound found in mountain caves or soil, rich in minerals. Physicians extensively used it in Ayurvedic medicine systems due to its therapeutic properties. In its primary form, salt peter is a white solid crystal that is commonly available in powder form. Historical records indicate that physicians used saltpeter for the treatment of various diseases or conditions because of its benefits related to nitrate and nitrite.
Uses:
If you have symptoms of urinary blockage. Grind a gram each of saltpeter and mustard seeds finely, mix with an equal amount of sugar, and take two doses with water every two hours. Also, dissolve six grams of it in warm water and place a cloth soaked in this solution under the navel; urine will start flowing shortly. If a child is unable to take medicine. Hence, placing a cloth soaked in alum water under their feet also helps to open the urine.
Saltpeter is also beneficial for burning sensations. In such a condition, when urine is coming out slightly burning, grind it, and twenty-four grams of big cardamom seeds to make powder and make twelve pills, and take one pill with water morning and evening for three days. After that, take one pill each for sixty days with sixty rice grains. Soak twenty-four grams of rice grains in two cups of water overnight, strain in the morning, and drink; this is the water of sixty rice grains.
Saltpeter is also a useful remedy for asthma attacks. Soak twelve grams of it in a cup of water, then soak blotting paper in this water and dry it in the sun. When an asthma attack occurs and the patient is restless, light this paper like a cigarette and inhale the smoke. Relief will come in a few minutes.
When there is a buzzing sound in the ears, to stop it, mix three grams of saltpeter and honey each in twelve liters of water and put two to three drops in the ear.
