Cardamom , سبزالائچی, الائچی چھوٹی, Elettaria cardamomum, Cardamom, cardamon or cardamum, commonly called as green cardamom or true cardamom. It is a herbaceous, perennial plant belonging to the ginger family “Zingiberaceae”. It  is a spice made from the seeds of several plants in the genera Elettaria and Amomum. Both genera are native to the Indian subcontinent and Indonesia. Typically, it has a sharp, strong, and punchy aroma.
