Description

Talamkhana  at sknatural is Hygrophia auriculata. It belongs to family “Acanthaceae”. Generally people use its seeds and root. It is cold and moist in first order.

This annual herbal plant grows up to 60 cm in height. Its stem is tetragonal, and notably, it’s hairy and stiff at the nodes. The bark tends to be dark brown, while the leaves are elliptic-lanceolate and herpid. Its flowers, primarily purple but sometimes violet-blue, add a vibrant touch to its appearance.

The fruit is reminiscent of a four-sided shape, linear and glabrous, measuring about 1 cm in length. Inside, you’ll find seeds that are hairy and brown in color.
